Q: When will this course be available?
A: This course will be made available to all Illinois employers and their employees on November 2, 2020.
Q: How long is this mandatory course?
A: This course has been designed to be completed in under 1 hour.
Q: Is this course compliant to the Illinois Human Rights Act 775 ILCS 5/2-109?
A: Yes. This course was designed from specific course materials issued by the State of Illinois. There is no other course more compliant than this one.
Q: How long do my employees have to complete the course once they have enrolled?
A: Your employees will have 30 days to complete this course or December 31st, which ever comes first. Per the amended Illinois Human Rights Act, all employees must be initially trained by December 31, 2020.
Q: Can my employees access and complete this course with their smart phone or tablet?
A: Yes. The Power Learning Portal website is "responsive" to the type of device your employees are using, so it will resize itself accordingly. Additionally, our learning technology provider iSpring offers a free mobile app for download and you can access the Power Learning Portal from there as well. The mobile app does feature notifications to remind your employees to complete this mandatory course.
Q: Will your employees receive reminders to complete this mandatory course?
A: Yes. The Power Learning Portal will send out automated reminders via email and mobile devices notifications.
Q: Does each employee receive a course certificate at the end of the course?
A: Yes. Every registered employee will receive a personalized course certificate. The certificate can be downloaded directly from the Power Learning Portal and the certificate will be sent to each employee via email (providing they have an email address).
Q: Does the course certificate expire?
A: Yes. Per the Illinois Human Rights Act, this training must be done once a year so as a result, the course certificate will expire 1-year after the date completed.
Q: Do HR representatives have access to employee training certificates and progress reports?
A: Yes. We will grant one HR Representative administrative access to the Power Learning Portal to review employee accounts and download course certificates. Progress reports via CSV file will be emailed to your HR Representative daily.
Q: How do we pay for this course?
A: Based on your defined method of payment, Power Learning will send you an invoice via email. We must receive your payment within 10 days of your registration date.
